Invasive weed and endangered species monitoring mapping and data processing have become a recurring book of business for Medeem. Both the Invasive Alien Plant (IAP) project and the Darwin BirdWatch Initiative have benefited from Medeem’s workflows and technology. Both projects used High Resolutions imagery with remote sensing techniques to generate insight into the spread of invasive species across wetlands in Zambia, and the subsequent change detection monitoring process which is assisting researchers.
